World War Two Commander Denys Arthur Rayner, D.S.C., V.R.D., R.N.V.R. antisubmarine expert, worked his way up from command of armed trawlers to destroyers and command of a destroyer group. After the war he became a writer of "Naval Fiction." His most famous work "The Enemy Below" was even made into a Hollywood movie-abet with an American ship, captain and crew instead of their Royal Navy equivalents who were in the book.
This is a metal piece from Frontier that I painted in 2018.
