The Shield Says It All

The shield design of these knights tell the story of each. On the field of battle the identity of friend and foe via the shield is of critical importance to all the warriors.

All three are metal 25mm pieces, the two on the right are from Ral Partha, but the first is from a manufacture lost in the mists of time (sorry I can't remember the company name).  I painted them all for Middle Ages skirmishing and D&D in the 1970's.

Knights-A Lords Best Friends

Four valiant knights ready their weapons for their Lords pleasure in the late 12th and early 13th centuries. The end two, Sirs Edgar and Bryant, knights of Baron de Lance, use morning stars, Sir Gutmoor in blue uses a two-handed broadsword, while Sir Sagemont uses a longsword.

I painted these metal, "small 25mm," Ral Partha knights in 1980 for my D&D campaign and Medieval wargame battles.
