I'm Here To Light You On Fire

When you need a clear and deadly message to be sent to stubborn, fortified enemies, call in a flamethrower team.
The M2 Flamethrower, with a range of 20 to 40 meters (65.5 to 132 feet), delivers a searing jet of burning napalm that is as deadly as it is fearsome.
This unit is resin that I painted in March.

Here Come the MARINES!

Advancing into danger, this squad of US Marines are experienced, well trained and equipped for taking on the best Imperial Japan can offer.

As the squad is armed with three BARs (Browing Automatic Rifles), two Tommy Guns (.45 cal. submachineguns) two M-1 Carbines, on "Trench Sweeper (Remington 12-gauge shotgun) Colt .45 1911's (Best Semi-Automatic pistol of the US Military) and loads of grenades, they are well prepared for the close in fighting the Pacific Campaign is known for. As the saying goes, when the situation is dire, send in the MARINES.

These are plastic pieces I painted for my Bolt Action Pacific games back in the Summer of 2020.

Post 500 "Two Centuries of the USMC"

From the Shores of Tripoli to the jungles of Vietnam here stand the men of the USMC ready to fight for freedom.
Our first fought pirates in Africa, the British in 1812 and Indians in Florida, the next fought brother against brother in the War Between the States. In a hurry to reach Belleau Woods, a "Devil Dog" from the trenches of the Great War has jumped positions with the veteran of the Spanish American War.
While fighting in the Banana Wars of the 1920's and 30's, this old leather neck stops for a quick smoke with his pipe. With his Tommy Gun in hand, our next Marine is ready for service from China to Wake Island. Calling in fire support in the tropic jungles of the island hoping campaigns of World War II. this radioman does his duty in Hell on Guadalcanal; while our last in line looks for VC in the steaming jungles of South Vietnam.  Two centuries of the 236 year history of the USMC-Happy Birthday.

Marines on the Attack

With riles and Tommy Gun blazing these Marines attack with vigor and maximum violence. Even the best trained can become casualties, a stretcher bearer comes to the aid while the radio operator calls for more support. All Marines are combat infantrymen first, so even the man with the strecher carries his rifle with him. Throughout the Second World War the USMC used excellent training, a high esprit d'corps and every type of modern weapon to defeat the enemy. With flame, lead and hand grenades these lead Marines blast a hole through the enemy lines. These are more 28mm metal figures from Warlord Games.

DC in the Fall

Here are two shots from my Fall trip to Washington DC with my 8th grade students. The Iwo Jima statue is so moving to see at dusk, we always take the kids here our first evening. I'm including the Washington Monument just because it looks so good in this shot.
