Afrika Korps

 A reduced squad of the Field Marshal Erwin Rommel's famed Deutsches Afrika Korps (D.A.K.) readies for the next assault by the British 8th Army. 

Experts at desert warfare, the D.A.K., along with their Italian allies, contested control of North with first the British, Free French and Commonwealth troops and later the Americans from 1941 to '43.

In the end, the Allies were victorious and few of the D.A.K. survivors escaped defeat and capture by the Allies.
