Halloween, a Vampires Favorite Holiday

Vampires love Halloween, as it's the one night of the year that they can appear as themselves and draw absolutely no undo attention to themselves...

Vampirella enjoys the freedom of her favorite "undress."

Lord Croley prefers the dignified English gentleman look.

While Vigore can "hang around" in his best yoga pose.

Pirate Captain Mimi Rouge is all the rage in her swashbuckler attire.

Twin Vampire sisters Sanquinis-Siti and Sanquinis-Amans like to wear their clan colourswhen out on the town, looking for a "bite."

As do their cousins Baroness Sanguinis Luxuria, Lady Domina Sanguinis Olentus and Baroness Sanguinis Repetit.

Their mother, Princess Valdamina Sanguinarius and

Grandmother Queen Vladcaedes prefer to ride in style...side-saddle of course, as they are "ladies of quality."

Siblings Amator von-Sanguinis-Opus and Ismeralda von Sanguinis-Luxurias like to show off their body armor that they have worn on all special occasions since the Renaissance.

As does Uncle Teroare Noctuna who especially enjoys the "tricks" he gets to play on tasty humans this scary night.

Happy Halloween to all ...see you in your dreams...ha, haa, haaa--BOO!

Confrontation or Friendship

Regina Arborum Silvae is surprised to see a lone hoplite in her forest. He politely introduces himself as Hikto Nuluk a lost soldier of Hellas trying to find his way home to hearth and family.

Having pity on the poor fellow as she is unable to help him since she has no knowledge of "Hellas," she sends him on his way in peace.

Her husband, Rex Aurei Silvae, has other ideas as he is loath to allow any human warrior to exist in his forest realm! This leads to very strong "words" between the two monarchs.

The brave, but cursed Hiktos, can only wait and see if this will end in his favor or will he be forced into yet another one of his painful conflicts with powerful beings.

Scylla-Sailors Doom

Be she in the form of a beautiful woman, horrible monster or something in between, Scylla is always deadly to those who cross her path.

Countless sailors have fallen prey to her as they try to avoid the maw her neighboring sea monster Charybdis. (see World Historyprof: Charybdis-Ships Doom for her description)

These two horrors prey on those foolish enough to sail the tight straights that they haunt. Forcing the sailors to choose their fate- swallowed whole (ship and all) or fall into the embrace of Scylla and be devoured by the fangs of the heartless creature.

Who created her is lost to the past-even to her, as she only knows that her insatiable taste for human flesh is her role in life.  Few who sail her waters escape this doom, but it is possible, Odyssus did.

Scylla is a large plastic piece from the Greek Mystic Battles that I pained in September.

Prince of the Centuars

Princeps Equus Bellator Magister of the Reatia Clan in his full war regalia is a splendid example of centaur royalty.

Leading his troops into battle is his most important duty as the Prince Royal,

Unlike many of his clan, Princeps Equus Bellator Magister prefers using two swords vs spear or bow in combat.

His special attack is the deadly "Scissors Slice" that he uses to literally disarm his opponents or outright decapitate them.

Princeps Equus Bellator Magister is a plastic piece I painted over the summer.

Man? Machine? Maybe Both?

Straight out of an armor-smiths fevered nightmare, comes this colossal metallic "creature," Timor Homo-Metallum! A "man' with no flesh, only gears, pumps, metal and a human brain all powered by the controlled fires of the Jotun Surt.

Timor Homo-Metallum (or Redd Eske Metallmenn to many Norsemen), the man-machine, was created to win battles against creatures of flesh and bone, be they human, demi-human or beast. For all will be present at Ragnarök.

Redd Eske Metallmenn Timor Homo-Metallum is a plastic piece that I recently finished.

Gorgon Bonemastar-Killer of Dragons.

Frost Giants are known for their strength and fearlessness. But few surpass the warmaster, Gorgon Bonemastar.

Not only does he wear the bones of his defeated foes...

he even uses the lower jawbone of a dragon as his main weapon.

Those who are not intimidated by a giant that literally ripped a dragon apart to use this weapon, must truly be fools!

Gorgon Bonemastar is a large plastic piece I painted earlier this summer.

A Queen fit for the Forest

Regina Arborum Silvae is not afraid to don her armor and fight for her people and lands.

Unlike many of her centaur folk, she shuns bow and arrow weapons and prefers to face her foes in personal hand & hoof to hand combat.

Regina Arborum Silvae is a veteran of many battles and has never shied away from combat. In fact, she often tries to prove her valor by leading her troops into battle much to the chagrin of her husband Rex Aurei Silvae.

This can lead to some heated discussions!

Yet, they always make up in the end-for the sake of the family, kingdom and their love for each other, of course.

Both Regina Arborum Silvae & Rex Aurei Silvae are plastic pieces that I painted this month.

King of the Forest-Centaurs

Rex Aurei Silvae rules his subjects with a velvet glove, filled with lead.

For his realm is vast and full of challenges. Not the least being intrusions by the hated two leggers-orcs, lizardmen, ratmen and the worst of the worst, MEN!

As a master of both weapons and magic combat, Rex Aurei Silvae leads his warriors from the front as a true leader should.

Rex Aurei Silvae is a plastic piece I finished last weekend.

Goblin Samurai-Why Not!

While stranger things have occurred in the world, not many match the appearance of Goblin Samurai's. But don't say that to Yuto, Riku, Ren and Taiga of the Broken Moon Clan.

They take great umbrage and react with extreme violence to those who question their Samurai status.

They follow the most violent aspects of the Samurai code with great reverence and are quick to find insults in evenly seemingly mild comments.

So, tread lightly, watch your comments with care or be ready to fight for your life when you meet-"Goblin Samurai!"

These are plastic pieces from the Godtear game that I painted last weekend.

Death is in the Air When High Elves go to War

Be it night or...

day, no one is more deadly with the bow than High Elves.

Especially when they in full battle regalia.

They quality of their armor and weapons is second to none, which added to their motto of "one shot-one kill," makes them fearsome enemies in war.

While they are not normally bloodthirsty killers, when their realm is threatened, they will destroy their foes without hesitation.

These are 30mm+ plastic pieces I recently painted.
