Blinding Sun Shall Never Detour Me from My Duty to the Emperor

Baked and nearly blinded from the triple suns of Dssr'tt VII, Commander Hrt'lss of the Dark Angels never hesitates in his relentless hunt for Imperial enemies.
Strengthened by the spirit of the Emperor, relentless heat, and intense sunlight of never-ending daylight are but minor annoyances.
The only shade on this dry and burned planet is one's own shadow.
At least he is not wearing that inferno black armor of the Imperial Chaplin's.
As battle draws near, he joins with his...
standard bearer, soon they will lead their battle brother's victory!

Commander Hrt'lss is a plastic piece I recently painted.

World War Two Wargaming When Space is Limited

Short on space for a WWII armor battle, no problem, if you have access to some 1980's GHQ and/or CinC 1/285 scale pieces.
Here are five M24 Chaffee light tanks and five Soviet vehicles four with the dreaded Katyusha rockets on trucks and a support fuel truck. All in a space less then 100mm wide.
The Chaffee's are GHQ the trucks are from CinC all are metal pieces.

Destroyer Action in the North Sea

Throughout the Great War large and small violent naval engagements involving the German Imperial High Seas Fleet and the British Grand Fleet. Here we have the start of one of these fights between opposing destroyers.
The British ships are Acorn class, Goldfish, Comet, Ruby Nemesis & Sheldrake: 970 tons, 27 knots 72 crew with 2–21-inch torpedo's, 2-4 inch and 2-12 pdr guns. They are facing five German V class (later reclassed as torpedo boats) V150, 152. 153, 154, 156 & 158: 421 tons, 28 knots, 84 crew wit 2-88mm (3.5 inch) cannons and 2-45cm (17.5 inch) torpedo's. No matter who wins the fight will be vicious and deadly.

High Seas Fleet Sortie

Early in the predawn hours the German Imperial High Seas Fleet sorties to challenge the British Grand Fleet.
Row upon row of dreadnoughts, battlecrusiers and support ships, the might of the German Empire at sea.
For years the officers of the Imperial Fleet has toasted "der Tag" (the Day) when they would challenge the British for supremacy of the sea...will this be der Tag?
These are 2400 scale metal ships from CinC. I painted them in the late 1970's.
