37mm ATG-Imperial Japanese Army

Hiding in the brush, waiting for Allied armor, is a Japanese 37mm Anti Tank Gun (ATG).
The 37mm was the standard ATG in many armies at the start of the Second World War, but it was quickly outdated as Allied and German tank armor increased in thickness.
Due to shortages of more modern weapons, or repurposing the gun to armored car and scout tank usage, the venerable 37's would continue on till the end of the war in many armies (in 1950, they were the only ATG available to the South Korean Army when the Korean War started).
By the last years of 2nd World War, the Japanese were in desperate need for any anti tank weapons so the 37mm would continue to be used.
This is a German version of the 37mm, captured from the Chinese and reused by the Japanese.

The ATG Model is metal and the soldiers are plastic. All are from Warlord Games that I painted in 2018.
