Mont-Saint-Michel Fortress Monastery
For over 1000 years Mont-Saint-Michel was used as a sanctuary for both religious and military purposes.
Surrounded by se water at all but low tides, Mont-Saint-Michel value as a defensive position was recognized by men of vision and fortified. Defenses that served its inhabitants well during the turbulent Middle Ages. At the same time the monastery on top of the mount served the religious needs of the surrounding area. Now days its wartime past is gone and it is tourists that invade Mont-Saint-Michel on a daily basis.
This is a 3D printed piece that is approx. 100mm wide (4inches).

The Morning Drumroll
With the early sun, drummer Attmost B. Loudermont of the 24th practices his long roll amid the palm trees while his mates rest in the barracks. Hopefully out of range of hearing him.
Attmost is a metal piece I painted this year while the palm trees are a game terrain piece I made yesterday.

Messages in Stone
Two stone markers that address travelers of two totally different races and technologies.
To the right is and ancient warning in hieroglyphics that tells the warry wanders of the hidden dangers that lay in wait among the dunes.
While on the left is futuristic "Waystone" for the teleportation of those who know its secret ways of usage.
Both are plastic pieces that I recently painted.

Good Pillboxes are Easy to Build-as Game Terrain That Is
The pillbox, that hardened position that is a pain to take out.
Sgt. H. H. Hignsbottoms is happy to show the dimensions of this pillbox
This pillbox is the latest of my general game terrain pieces I have built.
I made it last weekend. The most time-consuming part of the project was literally waiting for the various levels of paint to dry.
Before and after construction photos.
compare the pillbox to the less protected outpost I build previously...
and this open interior of my first Great War pillbox that I made in the early 2000's...

Even In War Life Goes On
Even this tree, blasted by local fighting has sings of new life.
Two Blue Birds, obvious to the conflict seem to be embracing the next generation who are reading to hatch in their nest.
These two little eggs, seem to challenge the hostile world with their very existence.
This is a plastic piece that I painted last week.
