Adventurers don't need Height

Ingorg Blasarm, and Goinlin Hedmaseer are adventurers looking for hire when not fighting for the Low King of the Dwarfs.
Both are experienced warriors and feel no disadvantage due to their height.  Instead they know that lower strikes are quite effective vs the knees and stomachs of taller opponents.
.
Both are metal pieces from Heartbreaker that I painted in the late '90's

Roll out the barrel..of gunpowder that is.

For most people gunpowder and fire don't mix.  Not Ra'lnk BgBmum.
Ra'lnk believes in the luck of his ancestors, and the strength of his barrel as he puffs on his pipe as he carries his gunpowder to the mines.
Ra'lnk BgBmum is a metal piece from Heartbreaker that I painted in the late 1990's.

To Wear Armor Or Not To Wear...

The "Berserker" and the heavy armored Rocket Dwarf demonstrate the two extremes of protection available to the warriors of the Low King of the Dwarfs.
Berserkers do not fear death...they bring to their enemies, armor would only slow down their closing with the enemy.  The Rocket Dwarf needs the heaviest possible armor to protect them from the fire and heat of their high teck weapons.
The Berserker is a plastic piece from Games Workshop that I painted in the early 2000's. The Rocket Dwarf is a metal piece from Heartbreaker that I painted in the early 1990's.

Dwarf Deep Downer Champion

Deep Down Dwarfs work were the strange is normal and the monsters of under the mountains are the most dangerous miners can face.  It is the job of Dwarf Deep Downer Champions like Szkadumm here who are called forth to defend the mine from even the most dangerous of beasts.
One sign of Szkadumm's successes is the fine silver fur of the deadly Mine Ogrtroll that he killed with one blow of his mystic battle mace.
Szkadumm is a metal piece I painted in the early 2000's.

X'anzu Hedsptor, chief executioner to the Low King of the Dwarfs prides himself on the ability to remove even a trolls head in one swift blow.

Hammers Two

Snorog Bwanarm and the Gromhamar Brothers head the call to arms of the Low King of the Dwarfs and ready themselves for battle. Snorgog has the added benefit of using his ancient Runic Hammer of "Green Skin Smashing" (or orcs & goblins to non dwarfs).
All are metal pieces.  The brothers are pieces from Heartbreaker that I painted in the '90's. Snorog is a Games Workshop piece that I painted in the early 2000's.

We're Number One!

Gulnak Valnaksen knows who rules the true bottom of the rung in the World, the Dwarf Races!
First among the races of the World just as the bottom rung is the first and most important step on any ladder... that's the Dwarf view.
Gulnak is a metal piece from Heartbreaker that I painted in the 1990's.

Loose Your Bolts!

Stalwart warriors of the Low King of the Dwarfs ready to let loose a deadly volley of crossbow bolts.
Armed with the latest in crossbow technology...
and armored with the best chainmail dwarf smiths can fashion, these warriors have supreme confidence in their ability to win any battle.
These are more metal Heartbreaker figures that I painted in the 1990's.

Twins are better when Armed

Dwarf Warlords Bakka Khanzum and Akkab Khanzum are twins and rivals.
Protected by Mithral mail the greatest of all Dwarf armor, the twins brave any and all dangers in defense of the dwarf realms.
Bakka Khanzum and Akkab Khanzum are metal pieces from Heartbreaker's Leviathan range that I painted in the 1990's.

Want to make an Impression...use a Hammer

Dwarf warriors know well the value of a finely balance heavy hammer.
One solid smashing blow will impress even the most noncompliant foe.
The two end ones are more of the solid castings dwarfs from Heartbreaker's Leviathan range. The middle dwarf with the pipe is from their Kev Adams Dwarves.  I painted them in the 1990's.

Crossbows, not just for Tall People

Four of the finest archers of the Low King of the Dwarfs ready their crossbows.
As with all dwarf weapons, these crossbows have been mechanically improved with the latest advances...
like these improved hand cranks to speed up there reload time.
I painted these metal pieces in the 1990's, they are very solid castings but I don't remember the manufacturer.  This is the first of a series of pictures of one my favorite fantasy armies-the Under Kingdom of the Dwarf's.

Found out through the good fellows at Lead Adventure Forum, that these were from Heartbreaker's Leviathan range (now sold as Scotia Grendel).
