Happy Halloween Shipmates

Captain Mimi Rouge,  and "Peppy," want to wish you all a Happy Halloween. As the half blood daughter of Transylvania most infamous "Count," it is the Captains favorite holiday.  So enjoy, and may you only have wonderful treats and no tricks-this year.

Sikh Firepower Support

In the Burma Campaign, Sikh infantry were often in the most brutal battles with the Japanese troops.

Having supporting firepower such as this 50mm light mortar and .55 inch (13.97mm) Boys antitank rifle (ATR) was always appreciated. Especially as the latter had a good chance to penetrate most of the frontal armor of any IJA(Imperial Japanese Army) AFV's (Armored Fighting Vehicle's) they might encounter.

The Meat Chopper

The bane of America' s enemies, the M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage (MCMG)-"the Meat Chopper."

Armed with four .50 cal. Ma Duces that were able to shred low fling aircraft,

 light vehicles and infantry with the flip of switch, the Meat Chopper well deserved its nickname

deserved its nickname. Mounted on the back of the reliable M5 half track, the

Meat Chopper was a popular American infantry support vehicle during both World War Two and the Korean War.

 This M-16 Meatchopper is a 3D resin model that I painted in 2019. The Canvas tarp is scratch built.

Yes Vampires Can Walk In Daylight, With The Proper Protection

Yes Croley is a vampire, one who has a simple way to enjoy a stroll in the Sun. All the better to scope out likely sites for future encounters for his up coming meals.

Croley is a  plastic piece  from the "Rise of Mologh," World of Smog game that I painted in 2018.

 

20 mm Anti Tank Rifle's, Not Just for Tanks

When designed in the 1930's the type 97  20mm ATR was able to penetrate the frontal armor of most of the Worlds tanks. Even though by the time of  the Second World War, medium tank armor quickly became to much for every nations ATR's, they  still had their uses. They were very effective vs lightly armored cars, halftracks and soft skinned vehicles. While not as accurate as sniper rifles, their range and stopping power made them quiet deadly against individual troops. 

This Japanese SNLF (Special Naval Landing Force) ATR team is plastic from Warlord that I painted in 2019.
 

Here Piggy, Piggy

Master of magic and potions, Circe checks out one of her latest transformations, while her next subject/victim stands guard.

"Here piggy, is your next new brother," whispers Circe to her little porker.

Agile as a "Black Cat"

Black Cat, aka Felicia Hardy, is a master of  probability manipulation which

she has very successfully use in her cat burglar career.

Her crime career largely came to an end when she met super hero Spiderman.

Now she uses her agility, good luck and corresponding bad luck to her foes, to 

support her "close" friend Spiderman in his war against evil criminals.

Sea Witch-Flames Over Water

Rising above the waves on her pet "fire" kraken, the Sea Witch is ready to take on the forces of Mologh in the eternal battle of good vs evil. With her flaming sword, kraken and hair, she is a force that seamingly can overcomes the power of the sea.

Typhons Herald - Bringer of Doom

  The Fearsome and deadly Giant Typhon send his Herald ahead of his 

                                                  deadly attacks on humans and gods alike.

A horrible monster in his own right, Typhons Herald enjoys a tasty snack 

of fresh human when ever he can.

                                      Kind of like this puny human ahead of me.

                                               I'll just sneak up on him, hee, hee, hee.

He's right behind me isn't he, thinks Brave Hiktos Nuluk, the cursed hoplite. Maybe if I don't see him he won't see me...right...

 The Herald of Typhon is a plastic piece from Mystic Battles that I painted in this month, Hiktos is a 25mm metal piece from Ral Partha I painted in the late 1970's.

October WIP

Current Works In Progress (WIP) front left to right. 18th century North Eastern Native American Warriors, Typhoon Herold, Wolverine, Black Cat, Doctor Strange Sabertooth and Spiderman.

I've been real busy with school and moving my mother-in-laws house, so hopefully I can get most of these done this month. 

Heavy Fire Power-150mm Mortar

The Japanese Type 96 150mm mortar Long Barrel, added a heavy punch to any infantry assualt.

The 25 kg (52 lb) mortar round had a range up to 3.9 km (2.4 mi.) while the piece itself weighed in at 342 kg ( 754 lb).

This is a scratch build piece with plastic troops from Warlord Games that I constructed in 2020.
 

The Teumessian Fox

Said to have been created by the God Dionysus to punish the people of Thebes, especially their children,

their children, the Teumessian Fox was a fearsome beast.

A special ability of the Teumessian Fox was that it waas impossible for the creature to be captured by any hunter.

Tradition says that as the fox was uncatchable, Zeus intervened and made the Teumessian Fox into the star constellation Canis Mino.

Once again poor cursed Greek hero Brave Hiktos Nuluk is thrown to the Teumessian Fox for yet another painful losing battle.
