The NNL Fights for the British

 

These British scouts from the Natal Native Infantry (NNL) are on the lookout for the Zulu Army.

When the British invaded the land of the Zulus in 1879, companies of NNI were used to augment the British forces.  Their training, equipment and treatment were well below that of any of the other forces the British deployed in the Zulu War.

These are plastic pieces from Warlord for my African Colonial Campaigns.

Survival is My Life

"Blades never run out of ammo," is the motto of Slim Kicinns. As a survivalist-assassin, Slim uses his blade skill to stay alive. The chain whip is just to soften up his opponents first.

1st row- stylized bases in fimo plastic.

2nd row- Warmachine scrap pieces, Sci fi Imperial officer, Lizardman, Warmachine sword merc., Witch on a broom and pumpkin, Samurai, Pirate Captain. 

3rd row- Monster bronze, 2 Sci Fi Bots, 2 Female Pirates.

Rear- Ancient Egyptian Altar, Guardians and human priests from Warmachine.

 

Fire is Dangerous

Piro Fryyer specializes in taking out nasty combat Warjacks in the never ending wars in the world of Warmachines.

I painted Piro in 2016 for Richard's Warmachine Army. He reminds me of  a crazed character from the Japanese Anime "Big O."
 

For the Glory of the Empire and the Sacred Emperor!

With a light tank for support, a squad of Imperial Japanese soldiers charge their enemy.

Following the flag is a long standing tradition for the soldiers of Nippon.

This one is emblazoned with patriotic sayings to further encourage the troops. 

From North Chia to India to the islands of the South Pacific, this scene was duplicated

countless times in the name of the Empire and the god Emperor.

The soldiers are plastic pieces from Warlord Games that I painted this week. The light tank is actually a 20mm scale metal Corgi German MK IV F1 that I painted in 2016, in a Japanese color scheme to substitute for a Chi Ha tank. 
 

Beasties come in All Styles

Back in 2016, I came across a variety of "beasties" that I decided to paint up. Here we have on the orange and yellow bases base a female pirate captains. The red and black "Lava" bases are for Richard's Warmachine Menoth army and on the sand bases some Sci Fi / Steampunk pieces.

Her flaming sword burn out, and therefore purifies, the evils she sees in the World.

The Green Assassin

Blind from birth has never been a hindrance, years of training has given her skills that are near supernatural...

so the "Green Assassin" with her two handed killing sword does not need her eyes to slaughter her victims... 

If need be she can even resort to her pistols, although that lacks style.
