Italian African Collapse 18-5-41

After the Ethiopian Campaign disasters of 1941, the Italian forces surrendered to the British on 18 March 1941. Here we have a weak squad of Italian soldiers, with a mixed bag of equipment and weapons, that has not yet heard that they are no longer fighting.
Supported by an ATR (anti-tank rifle team) and a light mortar, the squad's moral is slightly better than it has been in the last month.
Now if only they can hear of the surrender before they get into a pointless firefight with a British patrol, they may survive the war in a prison camp. Hoping to one day return to the Motherland in a time of peace.
These are plastic Warlord pieces I modified to represent some Italians for use in World War Two North African Campaigns.
