Hel, Loki's daughter, is ready to welcome the dead to her realm of Helheim.
Hel was forced to rule the kingdom of the dead by Oden and the gods who feared her powers as a child of Loki and the giantess Angrboda. While to some she is a beauty.
Those who meet her actually see he due physical attributes as one half of her body is youthful while the other half is the decay of death.
Her realm is cold, protected by venomous serpents full of rotting treasures and the dead who were not chosen by the Valkyries to join Oden or Freyja.
Hel feels no warmth for either the gods who banished her or the doomed spirits who fill Helheim. Only the coming of Ragnarok will allow her to vent her anger on those who abused her for so long.
