As a son of the eternal's A'lars and Sui-San, Thanos was able to wield the all-powerful Infinity Gauntlet in his quest to rule the Galaxy

In love with Mistress Death, he plans to use the Infinity Gauntlet to erase half of all life in the Galaxy-as proof his boundless love for her.
