The Crusader I (A15 or Cruiser Mk VI) was one of the main British tanks in the early years of the North African Desert Campaign. Its light armor of 40-50 mm (less than 2 inches) 40mm ATG, 7.92mmm machineguns and speed of 24 to 46 kph (15 to 26 mph) were adequate for the early war battles.
But, as with many early tank designs the Crusaders were quickly outclassed by newer more powerful designs. As the war progressed, the Crusaders were modified into other uses such as AA vehicles or gun transports.
I painted up this resign an plastic piece from Warlord in 2020.
