Aphrodite Goddess of Love

Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love, Passion, Beauty and Sexuality seems to be deep in thought.
To the Romans she was the Goddess Venus. Aphrodite, while married to Hephaestus, was known for her unfaithfulness and many romantic adventures with other gods and men. As she had at least 15 children from five different companions, her promiscuous reputation seems well warranted.
While Ares-the God of War was her most powerful lover, her involvement in the start and progression of the Trojan War was her greatest direct influence upon the lives of humans.
As a side note the name month of April is taken from Aphrodite.
These Amazon Warriors are part of the bodyguard of Aphrodite...
When she goes to battle they will accompany her.
Ah, a human has come to Aphrodite's attention, will he gain her favor or her ire?
Well, well, well its our Brave Hiktos Nuluk who feels a bit better about meeting the Goddess of Love vs his recent encounter with Hades (World Historyprof: Hades is Angry). Little does he know that Aphrodite has decided that a round or two of combat with Hiktos  vs her and her Amazon warriors will be good pratice...hee, hee, hee...

For the further adventures of Brave Hiktos Nuluk , just do a search for him on the search section  on the home page of this blog.
Aphrodite and her Amazon Warriors are plastic pieces from Monolith's "Mystic Battles.  Brave Hiktos Nuluk  is a 25mm figure from Ral Partha that I painted in the 1970's.
