Six Heads are better than One-We Think

To the Hydra you can never have too many heads.
Until they run into Hercules that is.

This is an old Grenadier metal piece I put together in the 1970's. It doesn't have the detail or look of modern pieces, but it was the best we had for D&D in those days.

Where's Heracles when you need him, thinks poor Hiktos Nuluk as he faces (six faces that is) off with the Hydra.

Turn About is Fare Play

There's nothing ion the rule book that says you can't use the enemy's weapons against them.
Especially when it's the excellent Maschinengewehr 34 (Machine gun 34), that these British paratroopers are using against its former owners.
I scratched together this plastic unit using British and German Bolt Action pieces in June of 2018.

I painted these two plastic pieces in July 2019.

For the Empire-Crush the Rebels!

Elite Imperial Stormtroopers stand ready to crush the

forces of the Rebel Aliance.  It's a hard and dirty job, but they are ready to save the Empire from the foces of chaos.
These are plastic pieces from Fantasy Flight that I painted in December 2020.

Australian Jungle Firepower

An Aussie ML 3-inch mortar team give rapid fire support to their friends
somewhere in the jungles of the South Pacific.
The ML 3-inch (81mm) was approved for the British Army in the 1930's and adopted by Commonwealth troops shortly thereafter.
With an effective range 1500 m (1600 yds), the 4.5 kg (10 lb) shell added a needed firepower to the "Bloody Infantry" throughout both the Second World War and the Korean War.
These are a scratch built plastic pieces that I painted in August of 2019.

Athena-Minerva

Athena (Minerva to the Romans) Goddess of Wisdom and War
As one of the 12 Olympian Gods, Athena has proven her worth many times,
Such as when she buried the Giant Enceladus under Mount Edna during the great battle of Gigantomachy for the rule of the World.
Since sprouting full grown from the Head of Zeus, with her armor, spear and shield, Athena has been one of the most important of the Olympian Gods.
With her owl as a symbol of her knowledge, she is the patron of wisdom and military tactics as opposed to her bother Ares' smash them head on concept of battle.
The patron of both Athens and Greek hero's, Athena has many times helped both the mortals and gods.
She has been especially helpful to her half-brother Herakles and the hero Perseus.
Perseus was so grateful for her assistance, here presented her with the head of the gorgon Medusa, which now adorns her shield.

I painted Athena in July 2021. She is a plastic piece from Mystic Battles.
