Be she in the form of a beautiful woman, horrible monster or something in between, Scylla is always deadly to those who cross her path.
Countless sailors have fallen prey to her as they try to avoid the maw her neighboring sea monster Charybdis. (see World Historyprof: Charybdis-Ships Doom for her description)
These two horrors prey on those foolish enough to sail the tight straights that they haunt. Forcing the sailors to choose their fate- swallowed whole (ship and all) or fall into the embrace of Scylla and be devoured by the fangs of the heartless creature.
Who created her is lost to the past-even to her, as she only knows that her insatiable taste for human flesh is her role in life. Few who sail her waters escape this doom, but it is possible, Odyssus did.
Scylla is a large plastic piece from the Greek Mystic Battles that I pained in September.
