We Fight Well in Winter

 

When most armies hunker down in Winter quarters, Soviet soldiers exploit the weather and excel in both offensive and defensive actions. 

Here we have the crew of an RM-41 50mm light mortar ready to give close in support to their infantry comrades regardless of the freezing weather.

The RM-41 was able to rapidly fire .85 kg rounds up to 800m, with smoke and HE being the preferred combat rounds.
