An American battery of six pounders is ready to give fire upon the advancing Redcoats.
one of the more common pieces used by all the belligerents six pounders were used in virtually every major battle by one or both sides. With an effective range of 1500 yards, and with a well-trained crew, they were deadly weapons in the age of smoothbore muskets.
These are plastic pieces I recently painted for my American Revolution 250th Army.
