"Yes. I Sigmund Volsunga have the power of Lycanthropy."
As the youngest of ten sons, it fell to him to avenge the murders of family members by the clan of King Siggeir. His family fell victim to a dastardly ambush by the kings' forces when Sigmund refused to give up the magic sword "Balmung" to King Siggeir. Only Sigmund and his sister Signy escaped.
Escaping to the forest and living as a fugitive, Sigmund destroyed a band of bandits, taking their wolf cloaks a booty, not knowing they were cursed. By wearing a cursed wolf skin, Sigmund gained the power to transform into a wolf. With Balmung and the power of lycanthropy, he finally destroyed King Siggeir and his clan.
After many adventures, Balmung was shattered in battle (against Oden no less) leading to the hero's death. Much later his son Sigurd will reforge the blade and use it to carve his own fame into the Saga's.
Sigmund is a plastic piece I finished today.
