Yes, They Are Both "Medium Tanks"

Two Medium Tank (according to their respective militaries) opponents of the Second World War. On the left weighing in at 15+ tons, the Imperial Japanese Army Type 97 Chi Ha. On the left the 30+ton US militaries mainstay tank the M4 Sherman.
The Chi Ha was armed with a 57mm (2.24 inch) cannon with a maximum of 25mm (1 inch) of armor.  The Sherman has a high velocity 76mm (3 inch) antitank gun and up to 89mm (3.5 inches ) of armor.

To say the Japanese tank was out classed is a massive understatement, yet time and again the brave men in these inferior machines charged into battle throughout the Pacific War.

Both tanks are kits that I put together in the Summer of 2019.
