We're Elite Veterans -We don't need Shiny Armor!

This carack squad of Dark Angels Terminators was fought on thousands of worlds for the glory of the Emperor.

Though bitter cold to burning heat, like here on In'frnss Trmnss, they have conquered the foes of the Terran Empire. Their battles have left their marks on both body and armor.

So, their armor is worn, dented and patched almost beyond recognition from that shiny new equipment they were issued as new replacements' countless decades past. Yet they would never think of replacing any of their armor, for each hole, dents and repair is a mark of their devotion, experience and victory in never ceasing battles. For one does not discard an old reliable friend, for something shiny and new.
