The Few - the Brave - the Marines

 

Philippines, January 1941

The remains of a squad of the 4th Marines ready themselves for the next assault of Imperial Japanese troops. As part of the rearguard, they have to hold the enemy as long as possible.

The war so far has gone badly for the American forces, no air support, no naval support no reinforcements and a seemingly endless supply of enemy troops. Regardless, the Marines have a job to do, bravery and guts will have to suffice as they hold the line for yet another long day,

At days end, its fall back to the next line, maybe things will change when they get to Bataan.

These are the latest batch of my Early War AMericans, that I kit-bashed together and painted in November.
