With the ability to kill with its eyes (turning the victim to stone), fangs or coils, the Basilisk is an immensely dangerous foe.
A rattle tail may give some warning, but frankly if your close enough to hear the rattle it's probably already too late.
Huge, fearsome and deadly, is an apex predator.
The basilisk is surprisingly stealthy for a creature of its size.
