Once More into the Breach-FIRE

Captain Sir Regnald Rupert Fitzrichmond IV, horseman extraordinaire, relishes in the sounds of battle. Especially when his battery of 4 pdr artillery is pounding the French.
Be the target French infantry, artillery, cavalry or structures, all give him great pleasure when his battery smashes them.
Blasting breaches in enemy lines for his supporting infantry to exploit is especially pleasing to him.
Even his charger, Tuter, enjoys the smoke and noise of battle. When Tuter's blood is up, it takes Sir Regenald best efforts to reign in his mount when the valiant charger tries to bolt towards the bloody battlefield.

You Realizes This Means WAR!

Never known for his peaceful deminer, Try is prone to anger quickly. And Being the God of War losing his temper can lead to massive bloodshed. He pulses with raw energy and rage at these times.
As the God of War, Justice and Oaths, Tyr has a strong feeling of righteousness and holds others to these same high standards.
Only once did he deliberately go against his code of ethics. This was when he was asked to lie to the fearsome child of Loki, the Fenrir Wolf.
The gods so feared Fenrir that they had the Dwarves forge the strongest magical bonds in the world, "Gleipnir," to bind the beast. While the bonds looked like simple silk ribbons, Fenrir was suspicious. To assuage Fenrir's fears Tyr placed his hand in the beast's mouth as proof that silk was no more than decorative, a brutal lie. When Fenrir realized he was imprisoned he snaped his jaws shut taking Tyr's hand-a high price to pay for breaking a promise. The two will meet again during Ragnarök.
As the God of War, Tyr was honored by having the name of the second day of the week. "deis Marti" (Mars Day) replaced with Tyrsdagr (Tyr's Day). Today we call it Tuesday.
Tyr is a plastic piece I finished last night.

Doom Dwarf

The Shield of Dwarf Master Shaman Nord Gr'avmacr says it all. Those who face his wrath are doomed to die a horrifying fiery death. And yes, his shield is a gravestone, for Nord is a strong believer in truth in advertising.
Master Shaman Nord Gr'avmacr is a plastic piece I painted in Februrary.

Kill a Dragon--No Problem

Sigurd is an old school hero, fearless, strong and not too bright.
Raised by the dwarf master blacksmith Regin, Sigurd looked to the old dwarf as both a father figure and medieval lord. When Regin was banished from his home by the dragon Fafnir (see: World Historyprof: I LOVE GOLD!), he looked to Sigurd as a tool for his revenge against the beast.
At first reluctant, Sigurd eventually agreed to kill the dreaded worm.
As Fafnir was prone to daily drink from a spring on a well-worn path, the hero came up with a plan to ambush the beast. Sigurd dug a hole in the path big enough to hide in. He then covered himself with branches and brushes and waited for Fafnir to make his daily walk. Taken unawares, the worm was quickly killed.
Coming in contact with the worm's blood, gave Sigurd a form of invincibility and the ability to understand the speech of birds. From the birds he learned that Regin planned to kill him and take the gold for himself. Sigurd was smart enough to realize the danger, killed the treacherous Regin and kept the treasure for himself. Soon Sigurd would face a greater challenge, the beautiful Brunhild.
Sigurd is a plastic piece I painted this month.

Sword in the Root

The magic sword Tremordor, of the late Viking Snor Tommermann, is slowly being taken over by the roots of Yggdrasil the World Tree. Perhaps some brave hero will rescue the fine blade before the end of the Worlds in Ragnarök.
This is a plastic terrain piece I painted earlier this month.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Did a little decorating for St. Pat's. Hope your beer is good (or Coca-Cola), the food tasty and the friendship meaningful.

Shield-Maidens are as Deadly as Any Males

With a battle cry to Oden, Shield-Maiden Rakel calls her warrior sisters to arms/
Sonja, Hedda, Rakel and Marta are four of the elite warrior band of Shield Maidens who have sworn their lives to service the will of the gods as interrupted by their leaders.
It is a matter of pride among them that no male warriors are braver or more valiant.
When not fighting they practice their skill at arms constantly.
They are especially adept at the use of their shields in both defense and as an offensive weapon.
Being raised from youth to be quick and deadly, Shield-Maidens are renowned in the Nine Worlds for their ruthlessness and lack of mercy in battle.
Pity the foolish male adversary who sees these women warriors as easy prey, for their lives will soon be forfeit to the wrath of these sword wielding 'goddesses' of battle.
After another victory, the Shield-Maidens offer the lives they have taken as token of their loyalty to Oden, Freyja and Hel. The former two will take the souls of the brave, while Hel will welcome the rest to the torments, she has prepared in Helheim for these cowards. Now it is time to practice and ready themselves for the next battle for the glory of the gods and the fame of the Shield-Maidens.
These are plastic pieces I finished painting yesterday.
