Soviet and Imperial Japanese Border Conflict '43

                                                         Japanese-Soviet Frontier 1943

 And tensions are High.

Disgusted with the Soviet-Japanese Neutrality Act, Kaigun-Taisa (Captain) Hirituma Hijo ordered Kaigun-Chu (Sub-Lieutenant) Tomoni Oho to take his elite detachment of Special Naval Landing Force (SNLF) troops and occupy the village of Toko-Ri (nominally in Soviet territory) and resist any Soviet attempts to claim the village.

Upon hearing of the IJN moves through his spy network, Regional Soviet Commander Podpolkovnik (Lt. Colonel) Marko Petrov ordered Kapitan Igor Vilymvich to take his command and push the intruders out of Soviet territory by whatever means necessary. The Kapitan knew he had his work cut out for him as his best troops and equipment had long ago been sent West to face the Fascist threat to Mother Russia.

Regional Soviet Commander Podpolkovnik Marko Petrov

The forces are ready:
Kapitan Igor Vilymvich's command, 3 squads of Regular Infantry, Miadshy Serzhants (Junior Sergeant's) Yuri, Vadim & Fyodor, each with a LMG team, 1 Inexperienced Squad of new drafts under Miadshy Sezrhant Alexi, a Regular MMG Team and a worn out Regular M3 Lend-Lease Halftrack with a HMG.
Kaigun-Chu Tomoni Oho's SNLF, 3 Veteran Squads, Gunso's (Sergeant's) Takumi, Yoshio & Seiji, each with a LMG team, a Veteran Sniper Team, a Veteran MMG Team and a Regular Light Mortar team.

The Battlefield is ready, it will be a cold one as the pond and fields are frozen.
Tomorrow the battle.

Pteranodon Matriarch

Soaring high on ancient leather wings, the "Old One," Matriarch of the Pteranodon Clan spies the land for fresh meat for her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
For countless years she has the ruled the skies and none have risen, and survived, to challenge her for clan leadership.
Some day she may fall to new leadership.

But this is not that day!

The Old Won is aplastic piece I painted this month. Teo of her clan can be found here:

Weapons for the Taking

Abandoned by some unknown warriors, this stash of weapons and shields appears to be laying around for the taking.
But Suprise, Grnk Slsmtr is laying in ambush for those who think weapons are ever without a price.

This is a mix of pieces that I created as a victory point site for a variety of miniature games we play.

Denizens of Mars

Mars, the Red Planet has a history tens of thousands of years long, but now much of the civilization has degraded to the more base and brutal natures. Here are two of the more vicious the feared four-armed Ocher-Warrior (a more uncivilized version of the Dead Oceans Green Martians) and one of the Mudslime Men of the underground river's regions. While not as brutal a fighter as the Ocher-Warrior, the touch of the Mudslime man causes infection that will eventually turn in the victim into another Mudslime man.
These are old metal castings that I painted back in the 1970's originally for D&D and later my John Carter campaigns on 19th century Mars.

Gargoyle-Stone or Alive?

At first look, he is obviously a stone statue, but look closer...
did he just move?

Brave Hiktos Nuluk knows the humor of the Gods and is sure this thing will pounce any moment.

Can Elementals Really Look This Bad?

Believe it or not but these are supposed to be Water, Fire Wind and Earth Elementals Can Elementals Really Look This Bad, yup when there are blocky Grenadier castings like these.

I my defense, these were the only pieces I had available for my 1970's D&D Campaign. I replaced them asap once better casting like the Ral Partha Wind Elemental found here World Historyprof: Search results for water elemental

These are metal pieces that I painted in the 1970's.

Phantom of the Cauldron

When the wizard calls, the Phantom of the Cauldron must appear.
The Phantom is renowned for its ability to foresee the future.

The Phantom has gone by many "names" through the centuries, Delphi, Methuselah, Nostradamus, Vinci, Wells and a host of others. But beware, knowing what is coming always comes with a high price to pay.

This is an old Grenadier casting that I recently found in a bits box and painted up this month.
