We Know Al Because We See All!

The ravens, Huginn ("Thought") and Munin ("Memory") are the eyes of Woden and keep him appraised of the activities of the Nine Realms especially Midgard.

Midgard, the human world, with all its wars monsters, giants, trolls, mysteries, wonders war and brave warriors; was always under Woden's watchful eye. and the eyes of his ravens.

Each day at dawn, Huginn and Munin, would travel though the realms and return by breakfast time to report to Woden what they had observed. 

With an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Woden relied upon his ravens to bring him a constant stream of information and news of the happenings, especially battles, that occurred in the Nine Realms.

As was the nature of ravens, Huginn and Munin would feast on the bodies of dead warrior after a battle. So prevalent was Huginn at such feasting that warriors were commonly referred to as "those who make Huginn's claws and break red," and blood was often called "the drink of Huginn."

Twilight Before Ragnarok WIP Part III

Everyone in place...

now for the green flocking.

Gold, black, rock, snow and green are all done everyone is set again for the next stage, fine details.

Giants and Loki's allies will be to the right on the snowy blackened land.

The forces of Woden will be on the brown and later grass covered left.

Next up is to match each individual's piece to their base coating.

Each figure has magnets that will be able to lock on to metal that will also be added to their individual locations.

Weary Warrior of the Stars

For countless battles over endless "years" the "Captain" has fought the enemies of his Emperor. Untold numbers of Xenos have fallen to his weapons on thousands of planets as he protects the Human Empire from these bloodthirst horrors.

His armor is dented, his cloak rent and marred with his blood and that of his foes and his weapons are worn but his fighting spirit is undiminished.

For he knows only war, never peace, as the Emperors enemies are countless and relentless. So long has he fought he has even forgotten his name and now only responds to his title Captain when addressed by others. Even the roll keepers and officers of the Dark Angels know him by no other name.

 As rest is not an option, the Captain relies upon his faith in the Emperor, duty to his comrades and trust in his skills to continue the endless task of war! Mayhaps the peace of death, which has so eluded him, will someday allow him rest...but today is not that day!

Twilight Before Ragnarök Part II WIP

Top of the mountain has its sand coating added.

Almost halfway finished.

Sand is finished...

and a lights basecoat of brown has been painted on.

The areas will now be given a top coating that will match the bases of the figures that will stand there.

Next Project "Twilight Before Ragnarok" WIP Part 1

Making a diorama using some of the Norse gods, giants and monsters that I have painted. First up, the five-tiered mountain design with most of the locations for the pieces marked.

A couple of pieces and place holder sized cardboard.

Most of the pieces in their assigned locations.

The large spot on the top tier is for Woden. All the pieces are plastic from Mystic Battles.

Next up is the tedious glueing on the sand basing cover to the hillsides and tops.

You're a Dwarf!

How can you be a dwarf, when you're taller a human like me. "Well," says Norro Biggorbb of the Clan Sonn O'orbb, "being a dwarf is more of a relative concept of family and beliefs than size." One thing we all have in common is that we all despise ORC's!

Yes, all dwarves hate Orcs like him...

"Hi there, you look like a tiny dwarf!" says "Bad Moon" Clan leader Hrdthth Bnn Smssh Krrr.

Brave Hiktos Nuluk is metal, all the other pieces are plastic.

Correcting a Common Mistaken Statement

 

                                 

Doctor Miguelito Quiote Loveless III is one who blames his misfortunes on the quality of his teachers for he fell into the trap of believing an old and completely incorrect statement. The infamous saying about "those who can do and those who can't teach."  The truth of the matter is- "THOSE WHO CAN DO AND THOSE WHO CAN'T BLAME THE TEACHER!"

Pieces Painted in September '25

First piece finished in September was the young red dragon Sangusira.

I finished 56 pieces this September:

Game Terrain 1-gas pump, Ragnarok 2-Woden Wolves, Warhammer 40K 3-Termeinator Heavy Weapons Space Marines, Steampunk 6-Techno Gobos, Second World War 6- Cpl. Wojtek the Bear and 5 251/21 Halftrack 15mm AA Vehicles (1/251 scale), Fantasy 37- a Jinn, Sangusira. the dragon,6 Forest Spirits, 10 Old Style Goblins and 20 Old Style Orcs. The Halftracks, old style Goblins and Orcs are metal, all the rest of the pieces are plastic. 

The Forest Spirit Nu-Luk-Tu-Vuu was the last piece I finished.

Every Chapter Needs a Supreme Grand Master

Azrael, Supreme Grand Master of the Dark Angles!

His title pretty much says it all, as Supreme Grand Master of one of the most powerful chapters of the Imperial Space Marines, Azrael is one of the greatest leaders in the Imperium of Man.

By his command the Dark Angels march into the Holy Wars to cleanse the Galaxy of  of those forces that threaten the security of the Imperios domains.

Woden's Guardians

                                            The Wolves of Woden, Geri & Freki

Geri and Freki (the Greedy One and Ravenous) are Woden's loyal companions.

Always near him on his travels, the twin wolves are ever watchful for their lord's safety.

Their courage, loyalty, watchfulness and fierce demeanor make them excellent companions for the "All Seeing Father."

Those who anger them face a terrible death.

Such as our poor, cursed hoplite, Hiktos Nuluk, who is about to find out just how fierce Geri and Freki can be.
