Destroyers of the Eagle

Smashing through the Imperial borders, these German barbarians help lay waste to the cities and provinces of the Romans.
At their feet lies the ruins of an Imperial Eagle, the symbol of the Romans, foreshadowing the tragic future of the Western Empire.

Where Are My New Friends?

Our playful Mangani (the giant ape species of the Tarzan series) gorilla, Kubwa-Upendo (Big-Love) is looking for his new friends that have disappeared leaving some new toys.

Kubwa-Upendo was having such a good time playing with the funny tiny pale and dark apes with no fur, then they ran away.

At least they left their new friend Kubwa-Upendo many of their play things, head coverings, sharp pointy things, boom sticks, and lots of other interesting stuff.

Barrels on the cheap

These barrels look good with both 28mm and 35mm figures, although they are on the big size for the 25mm.
The pirate vixen is this shot is a large 28mm figure from Reaper.
The barrels are simple wood pieces that I picked up from Beverly's Craft shops for .79 cents for a package of two. The package is Creative Time-7032 Wood Barrels-Donaco Sales Co. Modesto, CA.
A cheap and fast way to make a supply depot of barrels.

Where are my new friends-WIP

Our playful Mangani (the giant ape species of the Tarzan series) gorilla, Kubwa-Upendo (Big-Love) is looking for his new friends that have disappeared leaving some new toys.
This work in progress is for a selection games. I'm thinking that Kubwa-Upendo and the Tarzan from "I am the Lord of the Jungle," will be partners in most game settings.

I Love a Good Brawl

Bloody Bradigan enjoys only one thing in life, a good rock-um, sock-um fight. His attitude has landed him in irons more times than he can count.
Bradigan is so used to his chains that he has adapted them to his personal fighting style.

Even a visiting lady needs a few handmaiden slaves

Tribune Gaius Travus Lucacius has warmly welcomed his good friend, the Lady Julia Drucilla Thurgia, into his home by loaning her the use of three of his favorite house slaves, Potensculus, Vinuma and Papilla.

All these ladies are 28mm metal pieces from Warlord.

Rome may have massive aqueducts but I have a massive sword

Vergiengenic, chieftain of Gaul, is unimpressed with the engineering feats of Rome. He relies on the strength of his sword and cares not for works of stone, no matter how well they are built.

When speed counts-send for the mounted infantry

The 1/13 Imperial Mounted Infantry advances quickly to harass some Zulu scouts. In the opening moves of the 1879 Zulu War, each British column had at least one squadron of Imperial Mounted Infantry for rapid deployment.
Armed with the heavy hitting .45 cal. Martini Henry (officers carried a pistol, sword and if the wanted a rifle as well), the soldiers were trained to fight from the saddle if needed but were really designed for rapid movement via horse and then to dismount and fight on foot.
These are metal 25mm pieces from Minifig, I painted them for the centennial of the Zulu War in the 1970's.

Are you cool enough Master?

With her fan in hand, house slave Potensculus is ready to cool her Master, Tribune Gaius Travus Lucacius, as he relaxes. Potensculus takes her duties very serious, especially as this is an easy and therefore prime position.

Knowing her masters tastes, she makes sure to show all her assets in an attempt to win further favors, and less work from an appreciative Gaius Travus.

Bill-Bob uses a Martini-Henry .45 cal. rifle, it has a powerful kick and great stopping power. His back up weapon is his trusty Colt .44.
Bill-Bob left the States after the failed War for Southern Independence and has chosen to lose himself in the wilds of Africa
A crack shot, Bill-Bob prides himself a a one shot, one kill hunter, he had lots of practice in the War where missing could be fatal.

More Wine Mistress?

Vinuma, a house slave to the family of Tribune Gaius Travus Lucacius, offers wine in gold goblets to her masters wife and her "guest."

Vinuma has learned to serve and not notice the male visitors that frequent the household when the Tribune is away on official business.

She feels quite lucky that the tastes of the visitors are sedated by the Mistress and do not require more personal service from Vinuma...Master Travus requires more than enough of her "attention."

Vinuma is a 28mm metal piece from Warlord.
