Christmas Tree Seven -" Moose Country"

The "Moose Country Tree" is our outdoor life tree. Like Santa and Nutcrackers Therri loves these little critters.






This is the biggest of our trees this year, nine feet (3 meters).

Datk Angles Seek Revenge

Amongst the ruins of one of their chapel shrines, the Librarian and command squad of the Dark Angles Space Marines seek out the infidel intruders. Revenge will be brutal and quick.





These are the finished Dark Angels that I just painted for Richard. They are new plastic pieces from Games Workshop.

Column en Masse

As darkness falls the 1st and 2nd Wurttemburg Regiments advance to the attack in column in masse. An ally of France in 1812, these troops were part of the 3rd Army Corps of Napoleon's Grand Army. These are 15mm metal Heritage figures that I painted in the late 1970's.

The princess and her unicorn run with free abandon in the forest of myth.
I painted the princess and her unicorn for Michelle in the mid 1980's.
This is a metal figure from Ral Partha.
It is a very brittle piece as were many of the Ral Partha mimiatures from that time period.

The Lone Star Marches On

The remnants of the 6th, 10th and 15th Texas Regiments continue to march for the Southern cause in the dark days of 1864.
The artillery support is provided by a battery 12pdr Napoleons of the Helena Arkansas Artillery.
These are 15mm metal Heritage miniatures that I painted in the late 1970's.

This tree brings back so many memories of days and nights at
the Ranch in SLO. The old look of many of the ornaments reminds me of the weathered look of Grandpa's barn and the old ranch house.

Lace Wars Cavalry-Wurttemberg Dragoons

The Swabian Dragoon Regiment of the Army of Wurttemberg did stalwart work throughout the Lace Wars of the 18th Century.
These Swabian Dragoons are the eyes of the army as they patrol through the war torn terrain in search of the enemy.
These are more 1970's, 25mm metal pieces from Minifig.
