Knights of a Feather
Two swan knights, Sir Svane and his cousin Sir Schwan stand guard in the ruined outbuilding of a country manor (destroyed in a serf uprising).
Armored in the latest plate designs and armed with halberds and swords, they feel confident to handle the foul peasants that revolted against their lord and master.
These two knights are 25mm metal pieces from Minifig that I painted in the late 1970's.

Shhh...Be Very Very Quiet, We're Hunting Rhinos
Sir Hallerly Misaloots III is serious about his new profession as a big game hunter. He knows his prey is close and cautions his companions to silence as he studies the signs.
Evidently the prey is much closer than Sir Hallery knows and his companions have also appeared to have left some items in their hurry to be some place more healthy.
Sir Hallery is a 28mm metal peace from Foundry, the Rhino is a cake decorating piece that I repainted.

Dragon Warrior from the North
Standing in the ruins of yet another church he has ransacked, Sven Redbeard is one of the dreaded Viking raiders from the North. The dragon on his shield is the last sight that many a victim ever sees.
Sven is a metal 25mm piece that I painted for my Grandmother for Christmas 1976. I just found him in a box where he has been hiding since she passed away in the early 1980's.

Come Here My Sweet For Your Suprise...
Verein Zoetekijken beckons to an admirer on the lonely docks of a port on the Spanish Main. She offers to fill an age old need of those who ply the seas.
Yes, with her trusty belaying pin she will help a needy captain fill his crew with a new "volunteer" sailor. As a member of a successful press gang, Verein earns her coin from her sweet looks and fast swing.
Verein is a metal piece from the pirate mercenaries press gang of Privateer Press.

Introducing the Marvelous Multiplying Renaissance Knights
One knight in Imperial armor stands guard.
Double the guard is the command now given.
Four are so much better than two.
Doubled again-hey wait-what's that guy in silver doing here?
A full squad of ten in (all correct in gold now) is ready for the lords commands.
Two squads of ten are even better (that silver guy finally found the right unit).
What the heck three squads are even better and can easily handle any situation.
Every company must have an officer in charge.
See I'm fully armored front and back.
The entire company stands ready for review.
These are Ral Partha 25mm metal pieces. I painted them up in the late 1970's when I needed a palace guard for Medieval Battles, D&D and later the original core of my Warhammer Imperial Army (eventually swapped out by larger - and better painted- GW pieces).
