Old Man Carstaires with a cuppa

Old Man Carstaires enjoys a cup of fine English Tea before heading to the silver mine he manages for Lord Upbottom of London. Carstaires is an example of the hard working colonial overseers that were vital to running the many important business ventures of absentee British landlords.
He is a 28mm metal Pulp Figures miniature.

Radagast the Brown vs the Goblins

Radagast the Brown was one of Gandalf the Grey's brother wizards sent to Middle Earth to fight the forces of Darkness. Here he is ambushed by a group of very foolish Moria goblins. Radagast is about to send them a very personal message on why you don't mess with a wizard. These are plastic LOTR figures from Games Workshop.

Airpower, Dwarf Style

A somewhat crazed dwarf helio pilot readies a handgrenade for some close in air bombardment. The brave pilot (one would have to be very brave to risk his life in this contraption) is about to bringing terror from the skies to the enemies of his people. He has the fuze lit and readies his machine for the attack run. Armed with grenades and a steam cannon, this marval of dwarf craftmanship requires a pilot with real multitasking abilities.
This great metal model is from one of the older GW dwarf lines and in my opinion much better than their later design. I put him together in the late 1990's.

When Greece Ruled the Mediterranean

A Greek Hoplite officer from the City State of Athens on the beach of Sicily at the crest of Athenian power. The warrior has no knowledge that his expedition is doomed as is the Empire of Athens. This is an excellent Ral Partha casting that I painted in the late 1980's.

Major Rupert Fisttriger, DSO

Major Rupert Fisttriger DSO is a sample of the tough minded loyal British officer responsible for the safety of the Empire. From Far East Asia to the Northwest frontier; from the Middle East to North Africa and the Land Beyond, while on patrol, leading by example,or putting his men before his own saftey, Rupert is there for King and Country. His was the type of officer that expanded and defended the greatest empire in history. His prefered weapon is Mark VI Webley in a man-stopping .455 cal. This is another 28mm metal miniature from Pulp Figures.

The Japanese Have Landed

The standard of Japanese Imperial troops leads the way to Peking in the Boxer Rebellion of 1900. In the late 19th century the Empire of Japan was recreated as an European style Imperial power. After a rapid modernization program of the military and industrial base of the country, Japan began an imperialistic campaign against her neighbors that continued through the end of World War Two. In 1900, Japan formed one of the largest military contingents of the Allied forces that marched on Peking to relieve the 55 day seige of the European legations. These are British 25mm Minifigs that have been modified to look like Japanese Imperial soldiers in their campaign uniform of 1900. These were painted in the late 1980's
